Pacific Ocean - Trivia

Pacific Ocean - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "The Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan named the ocean. For most of his voyage from the Straits of Magellan to the Philippines, Magellan indeed found the ocean peaceful."

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997)

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997) is a very lame show. I thought it was weird that I recognized Elaine Hendrix as the lady in Parent Trap remake.

Lemur

I was asked what a Lemur was without looking at the picture. I was thinking of Lynx when I said a cat.

When I saw the picture, I knew they were from Madagascar, the island not the movie -- which happened to be where the picture/drawing came from.

I had seen these creatures on some Discovery Channel event. I think it is cool this movie is getting kids familiar with obscure animals. There are tons of shows (mostly TV) about Australia...

"Lemurs are part of a class of primates"... they are the ghost monkeys.

Mason Neck National Wildlife Refuge

We went to the Mason Neck National Wildlife Refuge for Memorial Day. It was a fun little trip.

Fact Sheet: Eagle Scouts

When I was asked about being an Eagle Scout, I felt like I had not been living up to being "honest, trustworthy, etc." It was kind of an abrupt/rude awakening. I felt worse that I may not be better example for other things.

Trivia Asylum - City Nicknames

More trivia.

See: Trivia Asylum - City Nicknames: "Big Easy | New Orleans, Louisiana "

State Nicknames

My other trivia question. I like this site for it's info.... good trivia stuff.

State Nicknames: "The nickname 'Pelican State' is a tribute to the official state bird, the brown pelican, which is native to Louisiana. "

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

This is the answer to my trivia question I posed the other day.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: "The name Baton Rouge means Red Stick in French. The name comes from a cypress pole dyed red marking the boundary of hunting territory of native tribes "

Are We There Yet?

I thought I would have liked Are We There Yet?, but 20 minutes into the movie I was asking is it over yet?

Nice day out

The weather report changes so much. Looks nice today and several days in the ten day forecast. Yesterday, it looked like there would be rain for a long time.

I want to go to the East Potomac Park. I saw it from the boat ride to Mt. Vernon.

Michael's Shower

I like the calendar on Michael's Shower. I used to do X posts a day, then I limited it to 3, then it was 1 a day. Now, with this blog it is very sporadic.

CES Fireside: Hanging out

I had a post, or I still have yet to post my thoughts on hanging out. I don;t think I posted it yet because of the risk of being unpopular. Now, after this CES Fireside by Elder Oaks, I don't care... I'll get it up, I just need to find it or redraft it.

It's true. Hershey doesn't exist.

Independence Day quote

On our Hershey trip, I turned to a friend and said this quote with respect to our third party. I never stopped loving her. I don't think he caught who or what I was quoting.

See: Independence Day: "MOISHE: All he could think about was getting to you. There's still love there I think."

The Other Way: Fish in the sea

Once again I made a fool of myself. I started to listen to my roommates favorite group, WEEZER LYRICS - The Other Way.

They are singing about me I thought.

Unfortunately I don't believe it will be the last blunder. Oh well, life is a bi-otch?

I hate CitiMortgage. Big business definitely kills the personal touch. I guess it doesn't mater whoo takes me money?

It was my understanding that Josh Groban's song was about his wife. But I guess not.

GM closure?

I got these propaganda papers from some lady regarding GM secret closure of a plant nearby. I felt for those affected if they story was true. I then noticed the papers were from LaRouche.

I don't follow politics at all, but this guy seems pretty weird.

What it Means to Live in the Moment

As I walked out at the end of episode III, it was rather gray out side. It was overcast, a cool breeze soothed my forlorn thoughts. Is anything worth living for, I thought.

What it Means to Live in the Moment? I do not know but that how my question answered. Live [for] the moment is what I need to do this Saturday at Hershey.

It won't lsst forever, so I must enjoy it while it lasts.

The USS LST Ship Memorial (USS LST 325)

I got all excited when I was told a WWII battleship was coming to town. Then I started to wonder how it would get past the low bridge. The USS LST 325 is no battleship!

Everybody Loves Raymond? Not me

I wonder what show I will not watch that will replace Everybody Loves Raymond.

I thought it was funny that this is a new movie.

I think most guys will watch because of "Jessica Simpson [as] Daisy Duke"

Advantage Home Appraisal

I know my brother-in-law mentioned something about getting some one to redesign the Real Estate Appraisal site I had set up in a week! I just went to the site and I thought I typed in the wrong URL. Cool, I like the changes. Even if I had the time to redesign, I would not have been able to the flash crap.

I probably could have used a portable Air Conditioner today. It is very warm at wotk!

Friday the 13th

It was brought to my attention that it was Friday the 13th. An old flame, who's birthday is tomorrow and whom I'm going to Hershey with next Saturday, got a mysterious package yesterday and asked it it was from me.

What other strange things will go on today? Besides my Star Wars all night party? Ok, I'm just going to the party.

One down 3 to go?

Lovely ladies in the DC area

There are tons! On the metro, in the singles wards... I just saw one at the bank!

I looked into this introductory services out of curiosity. They match up over-achievers/workaholics in the area. The cost is in the thousands!

I figure I might spend that much trying to find the ONE (possibly already in the ward, or at least LDS) and enjoy it too.

I really enjoyed being with Jennifer. I think Christy is great... young... There is this one I flirt with at Institute. I forget her name, but I'll see her again.

She is fun. I like making her laugh... I even asked her out for this Friday at my sister's place but she could not go. My sister holds a game night every 1st Friday.

Anyway. Maybe I'm too anxiously engaged to be getting engaged. That would explain why I was said to be obsessive.

Which do I choose? Wish I could have them all? I'd hate to tell one "off".

My history or tract record shows I will not have to worry. They will all dump me sooner or later. So, I'm just going to have fun.

The Bookmaker

Wish I knew a bookie that would take my silly bets. I've been looking for a ride tonight for too long. Everyone I have talked to has said they are not going. 2 said they are going early and 1 said they were going late. Neither said they would take me (late or early).

Then the normal (unfortunately) around here bogged me down. That on top of lack of response of a different kind.

The only positive thoughts that got me out was the $200 I would have one on my frivolous bets on who else would turn me down.

Michael's Shower: The Tale of Morgan City

In Morgan City, many years ago, I was judged by a fairly young newly wed. Between Elder Marshall and myself, she said I was more suited to settle down for marriage.

I have often wondered what has become of Dan .I foolishly destroyed that friendship.

I wonder if he's married. I wonder how many kids he has....

Slumbering Giant?

Lately, I have often felt like I am coming out of some kind of steep.

I find myself doing or seeing things repeat. I ask why I didn't do this before. Why do I
continue to do other things?

Animated television series

There were not very many Animated television series after 1990 that I really liked. I could comment on most of these: Good times, silly show, what the, etc.

Home Improvement DVD

My roommate laughed when he found out we were watching the Tool Man on DVD.

I love this TV show. It was one of the last shows I have gotten in to. JAG and The Simpsons seem to be the only shows I have watched since Tim Taylor's show stopped making new epiasodes.

A few weeks ago, I watched my first episode of X-files.

I don't care for TV that much, but I love Netflix. It is my on demand choice although I have to wait. I hate waiting sometimes.

Simpsons Episode GABF11 | Season Sixteen

Season Sixteen?

I'm not sure which is more amazing the site NoHomers.net or 16 years of the Simpsons.

Episode GABF11 was a rare one. It was one that I actually liked and laughed at. I didn't even once think to turn it off as with previous episodes. Bart at Fat Camp? Hilarious

Disney Theme Parks' Pixar Presence

Awesome!

Luxo: Disney Theme Parks' Pixar Presence

Drako's Father

I love the Internet. As I was watching Patriot, I kept looking at Jason Isaacs knowing I had seen him before. I confirmed he was Drako's father via an Yahoo! movies search.

Tom Wilkinson looked familiar too. Just couldn't recall he was in Rush Hour.

Benjamin Franklin

My vote for the Greatest American is for Benjamin Franklin. Of course I am just going off of what I saw on the History Channel yesterday. Who knows, tomorrow I might re-vote with Lincoln. I don't think Lincoln is the greatest, but top 10 easy.

Valiant toy

Void a spell checker and other improvements, my old toy (Compaq Ipaq) still serves me well.

The cheaply built Dell Axim died a few months ago. I still fell no regret.

Wilson Car

As l watched the Pixar Cars trailer again, I swear I heard Owen Wilson’s voice. I might just enjoy this film yet.
