Female US VP?

Looks like Obama is going to be the next President. Hopefully he will dismantle DHS, let the military do what they are trained to do, and reduce the deficit on all four areas shown in the movie. Well, the people will need to save on their own.

Will it be a close race? I'm not sure. I'm more interested in other things. Like why my iPod decided to work this morning. What ward should I go to? I slept in late. Should I try to get up to this party in Maryland?

Wish I knew of a BBQ. I tried to get one started but got no support.

I.O.U.S.A.

Wow, it has been a day of education. Read parts of a year old MSdN magazine on the way to a friends house. Once there I learned about some new movies: Cutthroat Island (1995) and The Quest (1996). And also about Immunity.

I also went and saw the movie I.O.U.S.A. That provoked many thoughts. I could go off on, but so many already have.

I'm glad I did not go to New York. I had a good time here in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Back to plan A

Resumed original plan for the weekend. I guess the NY trip got scrapped. No one came at the appointed time and no response on call. Oh well?

I think he freaked out when I informed I was no longer in the YSA ward. Ah, I don't blame him too much. Just wish I hadn't tried to conserve energy last. Oh well, had i ran around blindly, i might have hit a tree or fell in the pond.

The bad thing about not leaving for the weekend is finding enough stuff to do. I can only invite myself to parties that i know of.

Went out to play in the dark

I knew it wasn't going to work well. I can barely see during the daytime. I just wanted to go anyway. Well, I made that decision when I learned they were meeting at my place.

Glad I went, although I was on guard duty. It was just a show of force; no real threat. It was great to talk smack with Marty, who left early for some reason.

Oh well, I had to post something before I sleep for a couple hours. Leaving early; I already packed a few things. I pack light.

RSS Feed

Is it just my setup or is the RSS feed messed up on the published date field? Another reason to write my own blog app.

Not sure I ever will get around to writing one. I have had many ideas get pushed aside.Wish I had an extra 20 hours a week to do stuff, but i most likely would fill it with other stuff only to wish for more time.

Speaking of time. I need to get to work. I slept in a bit... Today is Friday! Monday is a holiday. Should be going to New York state. Just for the fun of it.

Redskins preseason

So, I went to a game yesterday. I wasn't planning on staying long; I didn't want to be out really late and just wanted to get out and look around. I mean we all know who was going to win?

When I met the host of the group, whose name did sound familiar, I decided to stick it out. I learned she was in my ward. I think I added her name on the Leadership page of the website a while back.

Anyway, I had a lot of fun and got a ride home from an attractive woman. Can't bet that? I'll have to look for her when I go to church next time. I think I'll be calling her before that. :)

Why get the book(s)?

I listen to Ric Edelman via podcast all the time. I have learned a lot. He is always referring to his books. They are available on Audible, but why get them if he always quotes them?

I told my mom the other day that I gave away all my money because it was such a headache. If it wasn't for work, I'd have more time to fill out account forms and what not. Too bad I don't win the lottery or something.

How does one play anyway? If it isn't an instant win type of thing, I'm not sure I'd be patient enough to wait for the outcome. It's a poor man's tax anyway?

They should not have to think

Oh wow, wouldn't want that now would we?

So, I was given "free reign" to do these unspecified pages, but almost every thing is "wrong" and needs to conform to whatever they got in their head. I played the "I don't care" card and explained to them to just tell me what they want to see.

Well, of course they don't know what they want and they aren't technologically savvy enough to understand what can be done. So, I do what I can and change it up when they finally decide what they want.

If they keep changing their mind, that's job security?

Dang CAPTCHA

Well, it took like 5 tries to publish the last post. Why do they make it so dang hard to read those random graphic letters? Is there really imaging software that can read those images? If so, are they used by the masses?

I can see a hard to read image on say my bank website, but a blog? Why did I have to log in then?

Stop. Spare the emotion. Only give me the facts.

I thought it was rather heartless when I heard this woman related that her lawyer told her this. She lamented that without the emotion, there is no story. The more I think about it, the more I think that there are somethings where you don't want the emotional arguments.

Emotion enhances a story, but when you don't care about the story? This is why I can Fast Forward so easily. I detach myself emotionally.

I went to this open rehearsal last night. I've never been to one, but it was almost like going to a real play.

Anyway, I liked the story. Well up until a few actors started saying stuff that pulled on emotional strings. I guess I'm just cold hearted, but I stopped caring about these guys. I loved the Bishop, the shop keeper, and his son.
